Congratulations to Rhianydd Hallas for defending her dissertation!

Our team member Rhianydd Hallas defended her PhD thesis ‘Two rhymed offices composed for the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary: comparative study and critical edition’ in March, thus obtaining her doctorate from Bangor University, Wales, and Charles University, Prague.

In her thesis, Rhianydd presents several fundamental discoveries about the Feast of Visitation and two rhymed offices composed for this feast, one by Jan of Jenštejn and the other by Adam Easton. She summarizes the main findings of her work on our blog:
